DULUTH, Minn. - As part of a Neighbors Helping Neighbors initiative, seniors at Edgewood Vista donated afghan blankets to Safe Haven
Shelter and Resource Center.
Seniors spent the past year knitting and crocheting hundreds of rectangles that were stitched together to make the blankets."It's a big honor to be chosen and they put a lot of work into it,” Safe Haven
Shelter and Resource Center executive director Susan Utech said. “We serve about 500 residents a year, 250 women 250 children and they're going to be really excited to have the afghans, too."
Edgewood Vista will also donate the blankets to CHUM.
