DULUTH, Minn. - You've probably already noticed your car isn't a big fan of the extreme cold.Mechanics say they're seeing a lot of vehicles in the shop with heating problems, leaky water pumps and cracked tubes, especially power-steering lines."The fluids -- when it's that cold -- are just really thick and heavy and it has a tendency to pop the lines because of the fact the pump still wants to pump that fluid when it's that thick," said the owner of Automedics in Duluth, Mike Archer.
Tires are also sensitive to the cold and tend to go flat when temperatures dip below zero, Archer said.
