DULUTH, Minn.- Cold, arctic air has taken over the Northland and officials are warning that safety should be first. If you don't have to go outside it is better to keep warm by staying inside your home. But, if you have too make sure to dress in layers and bundle up to cover any exposed skin. You should also have extra clothing in your car incase you get stranded. Officials also say to keep an eye out for your neighbors specifically, the elderly."Sidewalks and driveways are pretty icy right now. So, if you could do the neighborly thing and go get their mail or go get their paper in the morning that would really help so that they don't have to go out," said Carol Christenson from the National Weather Service.Christenson says we should be seeing above average temperatures at the beginning of next week.
