Construction Starts on Superior Ice Sculpture

SUPERIOR, Wis. - Construction has started in Superior on what an artist hopes will be one of the world's largest ice sculptures.Roger Hanson, also known as the Ice Man, has started creating the sculpture on Barker's Island. It's an ongoing project that will be about 70 feet tall, 90 feet wide and will take many shapes and forms."It's never been done before. I'm the only one in the world who does anything like this,” said Hanson. “I've been working on it for seven years, enhancing it and tweaking it adding new innovations every year." The sculpture is expected to be finished in mid-February.
