DULUTH, Minn.- If getting fit is your thing, Green Light Fitness in Superior is the place for you. Green Light Fitness is the brainchild of an engaged couple who met through their love of fitness and they share that love with the community they call home. For Amanda Martinez and Paul Rockwood, fitness isn't just a hobby it's a way of life and it's what brought them together.The couple, now engaged to be married, lead group classes at their gym."We wanted to help people.  We are both motivating and we like to motivate.  We want to help others do things they want to do and make life easier for them," said owner, Paul Rockwood.Making life easier for people is why they describe what they do as "Functional Fitness.""You'll notice all of a sudden you're working out at our gym and then you're carrying your bags of groceries and they are all of a sudden easier to carry.  You learn how to move properly, you learn how to squat," said owner, Amanda Martinez.Taking classes led by instructors allows customers to feel like they're getting treatment from a personal trainer and these trainers live in the neighborhood.Their commitment to positively affecting people's lives and treating people like family, means that family continues to grow. "We not only engaged and opened the gym, but we had a baby within the span of this last year.  It's been really busy and exciting but we are lucky," said Martinez.Lucky to spread their love of fitness together.
