DULUTH - Thousands of people across the country have already set their goal to run the 39th annual Grandma's Marathon.
Marathon officials say last week more than 200 people registered, and in the past two days 125 people signed up to run the 26.2 mile race."This time of year we see a lot of people who are making the plunge into maybe their first marathon ever or they just realize that it's not time to commit to the marathon," said Bob Gustafson with Grandma’s Marathon.
So far more than 2,800 people have signed up.
A total of 8,500 will be accepted to run the full marathon on June 20, 2015.
