VIRGINIA, Minn. - The Thunderbird Mall in Virginia is starting to see things turn around since being under new management.
This September, Houston-based Rockstep Capital took over the deteriorating shopping center.
Management told FOX 21 Friday that there is now a different vibe, opportunities for additional vending, businesses are coming in and new exterior signage is going up."Since the new ownership change occurred in September, there has been a real positive energy amongst all of our mall merchants as well as our shoppers and our community," Thunderbird Mall Manager Jody Vest said.
This is the first holiday season the mall has had since its new ownership.
Management expects it to be bustling this weekend with Christmas shoppers.
