SUPERIOR, Wis. - Local entrepreneurs are seeing great success in their new product thanks to online fundraising.Back in September, we told you about the StandStand. It's a portable stand-up desk that helps relieve back pain and discourages people from sitting too much. The creators used Kickstarter to market their product and ended up raising $118,000.Co-founder Paul Peterson said he was blown away by the amount of support."I really didn't think it was going to happen. I thought we had something and it was going to be successful. I just didn't realize this many people would want them this quickly," he said.About 1,800 orders have come in from 14 different countries and 200 have been shipped out so far. The StandStand is built by employees at Rob's Custom Cabinetry where Peterson serves as the general manager. Peterson said if demand keeps at the pace is it now, they will add about five jobs next year. Click here to purchase the product.
