DULUTH, Minn. - Locals got into the spirit of the season by volunteering around Duluth Wednesday.United Way Day of Caring helps non-profits in the area. The point of the day is to match volunteers in the community with these non-profits that may need a few extra hands. They did some bell ringing, gift wrapping and decorating. Some YMCA employees spruced up Life House for the holidays."It's just great to get involved with the community. We do a lot of stuff at our own YMCA, but it's nice to get out in the community and help a little bit with another organization that provides so much for the kids in our community," said Jeramy Katchuba, branch executive director of the Duluth YMCA.Day of Caring traditionally happens in June, but this year they're also doing it in December for the holidays.
