DULUTH - The slopes at Chester Bowl opened today, and hundreds of
families were out enjoying the perfect ski conditions. Chester Bowl prides
itself on its 'neighborhood feel', as it holds a central location in the city
and is in walking distance from most areas in Duluth, as well as the difficulty
level of the mountain.
Dave Schaeffer, the Executive Director of the Chester Bowl
Improvement Club explained, "We don't have an easy slope, but all of our
slopes are doable, and people have said if you learn at Chester Bowl, you can
then go and ski anywhere. And we've seen that with lots of our families."
Chester Bowl is also one of the cheapest ski mountains in
the nation with day passes at just 6 dollars per person, encouraging people of
all financial abilities to enjoy winter and get out on the slopes.
