DULUTH, Minn. - Thursday evening, a group of Duluthians got together in hopes of raising money to preserve local veterans' stories.
It was all part of the 10th Annual Veterans' Remembrance Dinner at the Depot.
It was a chance for veterans, young and old, to raise money for the Veteran's Memorial Hall while also sharing war stories and remembering those who fought for our freedom."It really personalizes it,” said veteran and executive director of the Duluth International Airport, Tom Werner. “It's a next door neighbor, it's a friend, it's a relative and it isn't just something that you’re disconnected from that you see on the national news."
Veterans' Memorial Hall is home to local war artifacts dating back to the Civil War.
