HERMANTOWN, MN - Miller Hill Subaru teamed up with five local animal humane
societies as part of the annual "Share the Love" campaign in the hopes
of finding new families for homeless animals just in time for the holidays.
The animals up for adoption are stray cats and dogs who are
rescued by shelters and remain unclaimed, or animals given by people who find
themselves in circumstances where they can no longer properly care for their
pet.
Over the course of the weekend the Animal Allies Humane Society
hopes to find new homes for 100 pets.
"We would love to see empty shelters and empty kennels
in our shelters,” said Amy Miller, the Marketing and Communications Manager for
the Animal Allies Humane Society. “The biggest thing is to really give these
animals a chance. We really try to portray that these are great animals,
they're not second–hand pets, they're awesome companions, the dogs and cats
will be a great addition to your family."
To adopt a dog the cost is 150 dollars, which includes spade
or neutering, vaccinations, a physical examination, and a microchip. Those
looking to adopt a cat can name their own fee and negotiate with the participating
rescue societies.
