Wisconsin Deer Hunting Season Kicks Off

POPLAR – This weekend marked the beginning of deer hunting season in Wisconsin. Hundreds of thousands of hunters from Wisconsin and Minnesota are in the woods, on their stands and dressed in blaze orange hoping to catch prize herd. This deer opener the rules have changed a bit, its bucks only to increase the population. Hunters say it’s more than just about the trophy buck. "You gotta do what you gotta do,” Hursh Meat Processing Owner Robert Hursh said. “I mean half the people it is not about the harvest, it's about getting together and hanging out." This year deer hunting related expenses are expected to bring in $2.6 billion dollars to Wisconsin.
