Wisconsin Hunters Prepare For Weekend

SUPERIOR - Hundreds of thousands of hunters will be on their stands in Wisconsin this weekend for the annual deer opener.Last-minute shoppers were making their way to Superior Shooters Supply on Friday.This year it's bucks only, which is a way for the state to increase the herd population. Hunters were buying licenses, ammo, hand warmers and clothing to get prepared for that big win."It is a little colder than normal so nobody wants to sit up there and be cold,” Superior Shooters Supply Owner Pat Kukull said. “It’s bad enough that you're probably not going to see as many deer but to be in cold on top of that is adding insult to injury." Deer hunting is expected to bring a $2.6 billion economic impact to Wisconsin.
