DULUTH- Crews with the Duluth Parks and Recreation Department started removing trees Friday along the cross country ski trail in Chester Park. The goal of the ski trail, now designated as a shared-use trail, is to improve sight lines for pedestrians and skiers. The city has a five-to-one tree replanting plan that will start next spring. Signs and posts to illustrate the new trail will be installed soon. The work is part of the city's Mini-Master Plan.
