SUPERIOR, Wis. - Superior is using locals as a resource to help crack down in the battle against drug use. Tuesday evening, Superior police along with Douglas County narcotics officers educated Superior's Citizen Task Force on all different types of drugs. Experts say community members are the eyes and ears of the city and if they see the signs of drug use it may help reduce crime."We're not any different than anywhere else in the country,” explained Superior Police Officer Vonnie Beste. “We're having heroin, meth is still there along with pills and other problems." Police say a big key in stopping drug use is by knowing the signs and getting involved early on.
