Save Kids from the School to Prison Pipeline

Duluth - Community members gathered to discuss laws and policies in Minnesota and Wisconsin that are affecting youth. The Save the Kids from the School to Prison Pipeline discussion was held at the "Jefferson People’s House in Duluth. The group discussed educational settings hindering local students of color, students who are disabled and glbtq. The group says they hope to collaborate with the community to bring about more equality. "The message is prevention, how do we prevent the prison to pipeline,” discussion attendee Tim Davis said. “We understand that it exist for whatever reason but what's important is we stop it address it and move forward." The group plans to put on more discussions.
