DULUTH, Minn. - With the holiday season comes the winter weather which means more heating, potentially causing fires.
The Northland Chapter of the Red Cross in Duluth is looking for volunteers who can help out families and individuals who could become victims to fires and flooding this winter.
They are looking for disaster responders, nurses and people who can help with their door knocking initiatives."A good volunteer is someone who cares and is able to put themselves out there to do things that other people can benefit from," Northland Red Cross Executive Director Dan Williams said. "So it’s someone that's committed, there's really no skills needed as much as it is a passion about caring about other people."
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer contact the Red Cross at (218) 722-0071.
