Cell Tower at Chester Park Moves Forward

DULUTH - City councilors made a motion to move forward with a cell tower at Chester Park.Crews from Sprint were on site sampling soil Thursday. Projects from the park's mini master plan were also supposed to start, but the weather has put that work on hold. “We had contractors on site this morning and they did their very best,” Duluth Parks and Rec Manager Kathy Bergen said. “But it had snowed last night. It was too slippery, mushy, just not safe." Improvements to the downhill ski area, widen shared use trails and signs are just a few projects that are part of the mini master plan.
