Annual Food Shelf Concert Kicks Off

SUPERIOR - Some folks spent their Sunday listening to music at Pilgrim Lutheran Church while also helping local food shelves.
It's the 9th Annual Food Shelf Benefit Concert.
All proceeds will help local food shelves in Superior and Douglas County.
Folks were also able to donate a food item with the purchase of their ticket.
Members say it's a good feeling to be able to give back to the community.
Tanya Haugland, church council member, said “The purpose we do this is not to make ourselves feel good it's to help others and that's the whole reason why pilgrim is here." "We are here to help our community, to bring our community together and this is just a small part of what we do here.”
If you missed the concert and would like to donate, the church is always taking food donations.
