DULUTH - A new program will offer Northlanders a therapeutic experience in the outdoors.
The St. Louis River Experience kicked off in Duluth Thursday offering seniors, veterans and people with disabilities opportunities to get out on the St. Louis River on a specially equipped pontoon.
Program officials say the ride will provide beautiful sites and history."We're going to have an opportunity for them to live old memories, create new memories for some people that have lived in this community for many years, have never even been on the river,” said Chuch Wollack with the St. Louis River Experience. “They'll be able to see the city of Duluth from a different point of view."
The program is free.
