SUPERIOR – Firefighters with the Superior Fire Department spent the week brushing up on their skills.Crews used three different houses on the 2100 block of East 3rd St. donated by Kwik Trip to do live burn training. The houses are set to be demolished sometime next week to make way for the new convenience store. "What's important about this training is we can take policy or procedures in a one dimensional form and actually put it into practical use," said Captain Lindzi Campbell, with the Superior Fire Department.Firefighters worked through different scenarios to ensure they are prepared for any emergency."It's fantastic training for our brand new firefighters," said Campbell.Over the past few years, turnover has been high at the department, but seven new firefighters have joined the team this year.
