DULUTH - History was removed Wednesday from the old Lafarge cement site in the port of Duluth that'll soon be home to the Pier B Resort Hotel. The history is two old boxcars that once hauled bags of cement out of the port. The cars are owned by the Lake Superior Railroad Museum and were stored in the port as a way to remind people of the railroad connection to the waterfront dock.Crews from the North Shore Scenic Railroad hauled the boxcars away Wednesday afternoon so construction on Pier B can begin. Thanks to Station Master Josh Miller for the video used in this story.
