Superior Sands Open for Business

SUPERIOR- It may have been cold and rainy out. But some people were definitely feeling the heat of the sand..that is.
Superior Sands opened for business earlier this week and teams from all over the northland have been taking to the courts.
Owner Kevin Holm said, " it's kinda fun when you're here and they walk in for the first time, some of them are pretty surprised. They're like wow this is cool. Others are just excited to have a place to play. There's a ways to go yet for this place. The bar isn't in yet so we're hoping for that for march first.
The heated sand makes for an inviting environment for players...and they are stoked.
Kyle Limoseth said, "it's just great. To be able to get in and play beach volleyball, up here,especially with the ice storm, we've been having going on; to be able to come out and play some beach sand volleyball, is really a great thing."
Holm said 68 teams have signed up and they are at capacity for this season.
