Dog Lovers Show Support at Park Fundraiser

DULUTH - Dog lovers from across Duluth are one step closer to getting a new place to play with their pets.Primrose Retirement Community was host to a spaghetti dinner and silent auction raising money for a new dog park at Observation Park.Organizers said they need $8,000 to make it happen and are confident the park will be open within a month and a half."It's been long, and like you say, ups and downs. We've been to the parks commission three times and having to raise funds for it. So to have it actually built will be really exciting," said Denette Lynch, an event organizer.If you would like to donate, you can write a check to 'City of Duluth Parks Department' and on the memo line write 'dog park.'
