Golfing for Ovarian Cancer
By:

DULUTH - Duluth native Elizabeth Busche was just 19-years-old when she died from ovarian cancer just 2 years ago. More than 100 golfers played 18 holes at Enger Park Golf Course in the Elizabeth Busche Memorial Golf Scramble to raise money in her honor.
Funds will go to Charlene's Light, a foundation helping women battling ovarian cancer.
"We do this to try to help women and families who are going through, will go through and I hope no one does what we've gone through with Elizabeth,” said Elizabeth’s mother Jane Busche. “We just try to help people."
Money from the event will be used for anything from helping women get to their doctor’s appointments to early detection research.
Charlene’s Light is still accepting donations through their website.
