DULUTH- Duluth's newest dog park is one step closer to opening.
The Parks and Recreation commission made some adjustments this week to make the park better for visitors.
The commission also approved the use of a $2000 grant.
Parks and Rec manager, Kathy Bergen said, "we were very conservative in our first design of it, but we don't want it to be too small either so it's not really usable. There will still be some blacktop area left for the children to play basketball and skateboard and what not. We are not taking the entire blacktop area."
Organizers are hosting a spaghetti feed and silent auction September 25th to raise money for fencing at the Primrose retirement community.
There is still no projected completion date for the park.
