COLERAINE - A monument for veterans has been completed in Coleraine.
Richard Willis started raising money eight months ago to build a new memorial in the Lakeview cemetary.
Willis raised $11,000 in a short time and vets in the community say they are so grateful for the new site.
"Outstanding. It's really something. I come up here, my wife comes up with me once in a while, and she gets tears in her eyes when she sees it. She just loves it too and everyone I've talked to that's seen it."
There will be a ceremony to officially unveil the monuments and raise the flags, next memorial day.
The monuement came from Duluth Monuments and all the flag poles were made in Nisswa, MN.
Construction began in August and was completed last week.
