DULUTH - A Duluth woman recovering from severe frostbite has a long road of recovery ahead.
According to Erin Coons', 30, CaringBridge site, her left toes are dead and will need to be amputated.
She will also need skin grafts.
At last report Wednesday, officials at Regions Hospital in St. Paul said Coons was in critical condition.
Duluth police said she was found by a passerby Sunday morning in an alley behind Midtowne Manor.
Coons' family told FOX 21 she has frostbite on her legs, lower back and stomach.
Doctors said recovery should last a minimum of six weeks.
She's being treated at the same hospital where University of Minnesota-Duluth student Alyssa Lommel is being treated for her frostbite injuries.
Family has set up a PayPal account for donations to help with medical bills.
