DULUTH - On Thursday, people across the nation will be wearing orange to support Hunger Action Day.
One in five kids in the United States faces hunger every day.
The day is recognized by food banks across the country including Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank in Duluth that feeds more than 40,000 people a year.
"September is Hunger Action Month as well,” explained Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank executive director, Shaye Moris. “This is one day of course that we're using to certainly spread the message."
To honor Hunger Action Day Enger Tower will be lit up in orange Thursday evening.
