Event Helps Small Business Owners

Superior - At the first annual Small Business Soiree more than 10 small and home based vendors sold anything from cupcakes to candles and health and beauty products. Event coordinators say buying from local companies is a lot more rewarding.

"Supporting local businesses, local independent and home based businesses is putting money back into the community because it's the people that you are with day to day," Small Business Soiree Co-creator Nichol Anderson said.

The entrepreneurs will meet again from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Village Hall on Ogden Avenue.
