Fire Causes Extreme Damage to Superior Business

SUPERIOR - On Wednesday August 27, 2014 at 03:24, the Superior Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at Swanstrom Tools, 3300 James Day Drive.

While arriving for work, employees found smoke coming from the structure and the fire alarm sounding.

Superior Police reported smoke showing from the eaves and overhead doors.

Fire Crews entered the building and quickly located and extinguished the fire.

Damage was limited to one corner of the production floor along with the equipment and inventory stored in that area.

Damages are estimated at $100,000.

There were no injuries reported.

The fire's cause remains under investigation.
