UPDATE: Authorities Identify Train Accident Victim

SOLON SPRINGS - A Solon Springs woman was killed when she was hit by a train while walking with her dog downtown Monday night.
She has been identified as Deborah Otier, 59.
The accident was reported at about 6:15 p.m. at the CTH A intersection with the CN tracks just east of Business 53.
Witnesses reported Otier left the grocery store and walked west until reaching the tracks where the stop arms were extended and the lights and bells were active.
She apparently walked around the back side of the stop arms and was struck by the oncoming train.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Douglas County Medical Examiner's Office, and the CN Railroad Police.
