DULUTH - Friday Northland veterans got a chance to learn about all the services available for them in the area.
It was all part of the 21st annual Stand Down event held at the DECC.
Sixty service providers had booths explaining what they offer.
Leaders with MAC-V say they like having the veterans meet the providers rather than having to talk to someone on the phone.
The goal is for vets to find something they didn't realize they qualified for.
"Those veterans that are in need can find help with housing and employment, legal services and those types of things," said Steve Saari with the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans.
Last year about 270 veterans attended.
This year they hoped to help 300.
