Black Bear Casino Announces it Will Sponsor Beargrease

DULUTH- It’s hard to believe it but winter and next year's Beargrease are only five months away.
Friday Black Bear Casino announced they are sponsoring the race for the second year in a row.
Along with the $50,000 check Black Bear is setting each racer up with free hotel stays during the race and banquet ceremony.
Organizers with the casino say it's an honor to sponsor such an historic race.
"It’s part of the Northland, and it's part of our own heritage, and it's something that really brings the community together and we just like to be part of that," said Todd Defoe of Black Bear Casino.
Registration is at Black Bear Casino September 7th but this year they will be awarding three mushers a free entry to this year’s race.
