Thomas the Tank Rolls Out of Town

DULUTH- Sunday was the last day to see a special friend.
This year, nearly 20,000 people came out to see everyone's favorite train, Thomas the Tank Engine.
The folks at the North Shore Scenic Railroad say Thomas doesn't just make the kids happy, his visit generates a lot of tourism dollars for Duluth.
They said for the past two weekends every hotel in Duluth has been booked because Thomas holds a special place in everyone's heart.
Station master, Josh Miller said, "Thomas is a magical event that I can only compare to Christmas. it's like seeing Santa Clause for the for the first time. Life size Thomas here visiting Duluth. Kids go crazy for it."
Folks can still ride the trains daily.
Also this week, the murder mystery train is kicking off.
In September the fall colors tours will begin and in October the pumpkin train takes off.
