Unique Film Festival Makes Stop In Duluth

FOX 21 News, KQDS-DT

DULUTH - A bit of New York theater arrived in Duluth Thursday to raise awareness for people with disabilities.

The Sprout Touring Film Festival includes independent films that either star or are created by people with developmental disabilities.

The goal is an enlightening experience to help breakdown stereotypes, and it was held at Zinema Theater in downtown Duluth.

"There's music videos, there's short documentaries, there's narratives, there's a lot of amazing short files that will really touch you -- will enlighten you," said Anthony DiSalvo, creator of the Sprout Film Festival.

Arc Northland brought the festival to Duluth and serves 3,000 people with disabilities and their families every year.
