Duluth Police Mourn Murdered Minnesota Officer
By:

DULUTH- While many local police may have not known the Minnesota officer recently killed in the line of duty, they say any time a fellow officer loses their life, they are deeply affected.
Duluth Police Lt. Pete Stauber said, "When any law enforcement officer in this state or in this country; when any one of them fall in the line of duty, we all grieve and it brings back -- number one -- how important life is."
Stauber says the killing is a tragedy and also a reminder of the dangers of the job -- and the oath officers take to protect and serve.
Stauber knows firsthand how dangerous the job can be. He was shot in the head while on duty in 1995.
He and several other Duluth police officers will be going to the funeral to pay their respects to officer Scott Patrick and his family.
