Search For Missing Man Ends In Tragedy

HURLEY- An ongoing investigation by the Hurley Police Department for a missing Hurley man lead to the discovery of the missing vehicle and subject. 

Officer Packmayer, who was the lead investigator of the case, located the vehicle in the caves near Alfred Wright Blvd. within the city of Ironwood.

The vehicle was submerged in approximately 10ft of water.

With assistance from Ironwood Public Safety, Gogebic County Sheriff Department and MSP, officers were able to identify the vehicle.

The vehicle was extricated from the water.

The subjects name will be released once the family has been notified.

HPD and IPSD will continue with the investigation and release further information.
