SUPERIOR – A Northland campaign feeding kids out of school for the summer is serving a lot of meals. It's been a month since Superior schools, parks and community programs kicked off a campaign providing free breakfast and lunch to anyone18- years and younger.
They've served more than 14,000 nutritious meals in the month of June alone.
"We love the program, we're reaching out, we wish more people would participate and come on board,” summer school nutrition manager Paulette Yadon said. “We take as many as we can, we love to see the children getting fed and we love our children."
The program runs through the end of August.
