Rowers Compete on Lake Superior

DULUTH - Hundreds of rowers competed in the Duluth International Rowing Regatta today.
Clubs from Wisconsin, Minnesota and Ontario represented their towns in different age divisions and 29 races.
Duluth Rowing Club won the Junior Mens 8 division.
The team tells us this is the first time they've been able to compete in a 2,000 meter race this summer and are happy with the results.
"It's right here at home and we get to race on home water, get kind of a home field advantage. So, we know the course, we know what the waters like and other teams don't," said Hans Slade, a member of the Duluth Rowing Club's Junior Mens 8 team.
The next competition for the DRC is the Northwest International Rowing Association (NWIRA) in Ontario.
