TWO HARBORS - After battling it out at the Capitol, Two Harbors has been given the green light to change the way tourists navigate their town. This past legislative session, the Wayfinding Sign Program was passed and signed into law.

The pilot project allows Two Harbors to put up MnDot approved signs on the city's main drag, directing travelers to public attractions and private businesses in their downtown.

"MnDot didn't necessarily approve of what we wanted to do and we went through all the channels, it took a long time it was a hard fight,” Two Harbors City Councilor Jerry Norberg said. “But in the end our legislators persuaded the legislature that we know what's best for our town."

The city hopes to have at least four signs up by the end of fall.
