GARY NEW DULUTH - Neighbors helped kick off the 4th Annual Far West Fest Friday.
It's a chance for people to get together for a good time.
There's a carnival, food vendors, petting zoo and beer garden.
The event's founder, Dan Hinnenkamp, said he has big plans to keep the festival going.
"We're only going to get bigger and bigger. This thing isn't slowing down anytime soon. We're ecstatic that people have responded as well as they have to our event," said Hinnenkamp.
About 5,000 people will visit the fest.
It runs through Sunday.
