Annual Day of Caring Kicks off in Duluth

DULUTH - Minnesota nice was in full force in Duluth. For the 19th annual Day of Caring locals volunteered for more than 30 different special projects.
Crews did things like cleaning, donation drives, serving food and more.
"Having extra volunteer help coming in and really getting it looking nice and clean and welcoming for the visitors is always a bonus for us,” Animal Allies Volunteer Coordinator Becky Mathiowetz said. “When we have groups come it makes it go a lot faster."
The Day of Caring is spearheaded by United Way of Greater Duluth.
More than 250 Duluthians volunteered for the event.
