Cautionary High Water Warning Issued in Itasca Co.

PRESS RELEASE
GRAND RAPIDS - Starting Thursday, June 19, 2014, per Minnesota State Statute 86B.313 Subd. 9; the Itasca County Sheriff's Office will be posting "NO WAKE" signs on all public accesses to Pokegama Lake, Jay Gould Lakes and the Mississippi River.
Due to high water levels, law enforcement will be patrolling all area lakes to address the "NO WAKE" issue.
The "NO WAKE" rule will be strictly enforced by area law enforcement for the safety of recreationist and property owners.
