Group Hopes to Pack 100k Meals for Children

DULUTH - If you are interested in making an impact on world hunger, there's a chance for you to get involved this weekend.

The group Feed My Starving Children will be packing at least 100,000 meals at the Coppertop Church Saturday.

Last year, they sent more than 191 million meals to impoverished countries.

Event supervisor, Jeff Bauer said, "people are suffering. Really. Kids are dying. About 6,200 every day."

The group still needs about 130 volunteers.

They say they need the most volunteers to fill the 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. time slot on Saturday. 

Shifts last for two hours following a brief orientation.
