Northern Lights Foundation Hosts Gala Dinner

DULUTH- A foundation that helps families with terminally ill children hosted its first gala dinner Friday night.

The Northern Lights Foundation has helped more than 70 families since it started.

The founder says it's always been important to him to help grant wishes to children as well as provide financial support to the families.

Founder Ken Larson said, "I've always been kind of service oriented. I did some work for Make A Wish and March of Dimes over the years and just decided it would be nice to start something local, with local people, local friends and help local people in the Northland."

Larson says it's been a dream of his to have the dinner for the last 6 years.
